Our proxy infrastructure is optimized for low latency, and the location you pick is what decides it. Every packet goes player → proxy → your server, so choose the location closest to where your server is hosted. In the same OVH location as your origin, the added latency is under 0.5 ms; further away, it grows with the distance between your server and the proxy location you chose.

Your host stops raw floods but doesn't hide your IP. OVHcloud's Game firewall also has a FiveM profile on its recent Game servers (2024 and later), but OVHcloud's documentation doesn't say what that profile checks. fiveshield adds the cfx.re connection filter and IP masking on top; the two work together.

You'll never owe us money, and there's no contract or subscription to cancel. We send a Discord alert once your balance covers 3 days of protection or less, and you can turn on auto top-up so it refills by itself. To stop, disable protection from the dashboard at any time: daily charges stop immediately. If the balance does run out, protection pauses and the server is disabled — no debt and no penalty. Either way, whatever is left stays on your account. Re-enabling a disabled server requires at least $10.00 CAD on the balance — that money is not a fee, it stays yours and is spent on daily usage — and a new subdomain, because the old one is released when the server is disabled and someone else may have taken it. Keeping a few days of balance on the account saves you the subdomain change.

Yes. Players only ever connect to our proxy addresses, so your server's real IP is never exposed — attackers can't target what they can't see. Game traffic goes through our proxy network and resource downloads through the Cloudflare CDN cache, so neither path reveals your origin.

Pricing is based on your peak concurrent player count per day. The $2.25 CAD daily minimum covers any peak up to 50 players (the first tier, at $0.045 per player); above that, each block of players is billed at its tier rate, between $0.030 and $0.047 per player. That minimum applies as long as your server is enabled — even with zero players. You can disable your server from the dashboard at any time to stop charges. Payments are processed securely by Stripe — all major credit and debit cards are accepted. Funds are added to your account as balance credit, and daily protection charges are deducted from it. Your card details are never stored on our servers.

Our system automatically detects and mitigates attacks in real-time. Malicious traffic is filtered at our proxy layer before it ever reaches your origin server. Protection is always on, and if one proxy address is targeted, only the players connected through it are affected while the rest of your server stays online.

Yes, our dashboard provides real-time monitoring of player connections, traffic patterns, and attack events. You can see exactly what's happening with your server at any time.

All game traffic goes through our proxy network. Layer 4: XDP filters on our proxies drop UDP floods at the network-driver level, before the kernel. Layer 7: every FiveM connection is checked against the cfx.re protocol, so fake joins never reach FXServer. Web traffic and resource downloads also go through the Cloudflare CDN. Attack traffic is dropped before it reaches your origin server.

When a player connects, our API assigns them to one of several proxy instances in the location you chose when creating your server. There are 11 locations on 4 continents: North America (Canada and the United States), Europe, Asia-Pacific and Oceania. Your players are spread across separate instances in that location, so an attack on one proxy address only reaches the players on it while the others stay unaffected. The proxy receives the player's UDP game traffic, inspects and filters it at Layer 4, then forwards clean packets to your origin server. Because every packet goes player → proxy → your server, choose the location closest to where your server is hosted: the proxy then adds almost nothing to your players' ping. Instances in each location are auto-scaled with demand.

FiveM servers send large amounts of static content (scripts, maps, assets) to every connecting player. Without caching, all this data is served directly from your origin — consuming bandwidth and making your server vulnerable. Our Cloudflare-powered CDN cache sits in front of your server and serves these static files from edge locations worldwide. This dramatically reduces bandwidth on your origin, speeds up player downloads, and means a flood of download requests lands on the cache instead of your server. Every fiveshield server gets a cache subdomain included automatically.
